These tips also helps
in increasing the standby mode of Android smart phones.
Tip 1: Check What’s sucking the most battery juice.
To check it, go in Settings of your phone, then click on
battery and you will see a page like shown in this image above, with fully
details of all applications and programs running in your smart phone. It give us a clear picture of which
applications consuming more battery juice. In this image we are seeing that
screen usin 44% of battery power, Android system using 18%, Google Play
Services up to 5% etc.
Tip 2: Reduce Screen Brightness.
50% of battery battery power is consumed by screen
brightness only. So reduce your screen brightness to increase battery back up.
Tip 3: Reduce Email and Facebook Polling.
Set various messaging apps on ‘Manual’ mode for the polling
or refresh frequency, just a test and you will instantly extend your phone’s
battery life by a significant amount.
Tip 4: Turn unnecessary Hardwares and apps off.
Today’s smart phones have lots of new features like LTE,
NFC, GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth etc, but think do you really use or need all
these hardwares activated 24 hours per day??
If your answer is no, then turn of all these hardware
functions. To make these turn off swipe down to bring up the notification bar,
and then tap the icon on the top right corner.
Tip 5: Stop Apps running in Background.
To check this, go in settings and then click on’Apps’ Swipe
to the left and you will see a list of apps like shown in below image,
these are the list of apps which are currently running on
your android device. Tap on each one to see what they are for, you can stop any
apps that you do bot need running in the background all of the time.
Tip 6: Never use Live Wallpapers or animations as Home
Screen Widgets.
Live wallpapers or widgets sucks your battery juice very
fast as it always playing like a video and consumes lots of battery power. So,
avoid these type of wallpapers or widgets.
Tip 7: Update Apps
Applications often get updated to use less battery power, so
you should make sure your apps are up to date.
Tip 8: If signal Strength is weak, turn on ‘Airplane Mode’.
If you are in a area with poor network coverage, the phone
will work harder to latch on strong signal, which has an adverse effect on
battery life. So it’s worth popping the phone into Airplane mode if you do not
need data or voice calls.
